Yinal YAĞAN (Resume)


Born in Kayseri in 1968, Yinal YAĞAN graduated from the Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1989. He started his career as Assistant Expert in the Undersecretariat of Treasury and Foreign Trade in January 1991. He became a Treasury and Foreign Trade Expert in 1994. He worked as Foreign Trade Specialist and Specialist Branch Manager in various units of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade until October 2000.

He was on diplomatic duty as Trade Counsellor in Tunisia during the period of October 2000 and October 2003. He worked as Specialist Branch Manager and Head of Department in various units of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade between October 2003 and June 2011.

He served as the Acting Deputy General Manager of the “Free Zones, Foreign Investments and Services General Directorate”, newly established unit within the Ministry of Economy in 2011. He was appointed as the Chief Trade Counsellor to Tunisia and carried on this diplomatic post from May 2012 to May 2016.

He was assigned from the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in 2016 and assumed the post of Vice General Manager of General Directorate of Mining Affairs. He served as Acting General Manager in the General Directorate of Mining Affairs between August-September 2018.

He was appointed as Acting Vice President of Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) on October 4, 2018. As of April 18, 2019 he has been working as the Acting President of TurkStat.
