Consumer price index (CPI) decreased by 1.44% in November 2018
A decrease in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 1.44% and rises were realized on December of the previous year by 20.79%, on same month of the previous year by 21.62% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 15.63% in November 2018.The highest monthly increase was 2.37% in clothing and footwear
In November 2018, the indices rose for health 0.57%, for housing 0.47%, for hotels, cafes and restaurants 0.41% and for alcoholic beverages and tobacco 0.17%.The highest monthly decrease was 6.46% in transportation
In November 2018, the indices declined for furnishing and household equipment 2.85%, for recreation and culture 2.08%, for miscellaneous goods and services 0.96% and for food and non-alcoholic beverages 0.74%. The highest annual increase was 32.73% in furnishing and household equipment
Miscellaneous goods and services with 27.87%, food and non-alcoholic beverages with 25.66%, housing with 24.76% and recreation and culture with 21.18% were the other main groups where high annual increases realized.The highest monthly increase was 0.15% in TRB2 (Van, Muş, Bitlis, Hakkari)
The highest increases in CPI were recorded in TRA2 (Ağrı, Kars, Iğdır, Ardahan) region with 23.59% compared with the December of the previous year, in TRC3 (Mardin, Batman, Şırnak, Siirt) region with 25.06% compared with the same month of the previous year and in TR63 (Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye) region with 17.50% on the twelve months moving averages basis.
In November 2018 within average prices of 407 items in the index, average prices of 38 items remained unchanged while average prices of 261 items increased and average prices of 108 items decreased.The next release on this subject will be on January 03, 2019.
